This is the temporary home of my (hopefully) new regular blog called The Daily Schlock. I’m a very big fan of cheap films, and over the past couple of years I’ve learned that many films get overlooked purely because they’re seen as simple cheap, crappy films that couldn’t make it to a theater. On top of this, many of the people who do bother to watch them treat them incredibly unfairly, since the faults can’t hide behind $100 million worth of CG. My object with this blog is to post reviews for many of the cheaper, unheard of films that you see on the video racks, yet were afraid to actually check out. This is my attempt to give the films more of a fair shake than they usually get.

Keep in mind that when I use the term “schlock,” I simply mean it as cheap films, I’m not necessarily commenting on the quality of the films in question(until I get into the review). So if you find that I reviewed a beloved classic, don’t immediately jump off the rails at me for “lumping it in” with these other films. Also, be aware that there will most likely be a slight focus on horror on this site, because that tends to be what I gravitate towards. I will always be willing to look at requests though! Just click the “requests” page!

Lastly, if you know someone who can make decent WordPress themes, and do some light graphical work, and would be willing to help me get a more unique design, please contact me! Preferably cheap! I’m hoping to expand this to it’s own domain sometime, but before that I’d like to have an actual logo and site design.
